HALONG BAY : Towering Limestone Mountains from Emerald Waters

Planning holiday onto Vietnam number one tuourism hub? Halong Bay is the suitable answer. Ha Long Bay is a beautiful natural in northern Vietnam, near the Chinese border. The Bay with 1600 dotted islands and islets which make this area declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Most of the islands are uninhabitated and unaffected by human activities. For this reason, Halong Bay become special treat to access. 





 

The islands are the home of many caves. Some caves also beautifully lit with various colors, you can also have dinner at the cave. One of them located at Phong Nha. If you like to visit the beaches without booking a cruise is to travel to Cat Ba. It's the largest island in Halong Bay and one of the few islands where you can stay. Cat Ba have many hotels and resorts options. It's so big that you have plenty of activities.  Kayaking, cycling or just relaxing are one of many fun activities you can do there.

The closest airport to Halong Bay is 165 Kilometers from Hanoi International Airport. It's accessible by bus, taxi, motorbikes, or private tour companies. From the capital, you can get a bus three hours to Hai Phong Harbor and then sail to Halong Bay from there.
